How to Prep for Your Bridal Appointment
Our stylists strive to make your bridal appointment a smooth, fun, and satisfying experience. It takes a team to make the magic happen, so here’s what the bride can do before you arrive at the salon:
Research and Gather Inspiration: Look for wedding dress styles, silhouettes, and designers that you like. Create a Pinterest board or collect images that inspire you. This helps your stylist understand your preferences and find options that align with your taste.
Set a Budget: Determine a realistic budget for your wedding dress before your appointment. We’ll show you styles in your price range. Don’t forget to budget for additional costs such as alterations, accessories and taxes.
Make an Appointment: While walk-in appointments are okay, booking an appointment allows us to focus on you. Also, weekdays are quieter, if you prefer intimacy while weekends are busy and full of bride tribe energy.
Wear Appropriate Undergarments: Save going commando for another time. Choose seamless nude or white underwear. Additionally, bring a strapless or convertible bra if you have one. Wearing the right undergarments help you visualize how the dress appears on you and makes the fitting process more accurate.
Bring Supportive Companions: Invite a select group of friends or family whose opinions you trust and value. As Sofia Bella is an intimate boutique, we recommend the bride plus three. We can also Zoom or FaceTime those unable to be present.
